About

Marissa Baecker

Marissa has captured life with a camera in her hand for as long as she can remember. In 2001, she chased her passion, founded Shoot the Breeze and began sharing stories of her experiences behind the lens and beyond.

Marissa is passionate about the outdoors, loves motorcycle life, music, sports and events. Shoot the Breeze is the brand that encompasses these passions and the people who love, live and work these lifestyles.

Born in Saskatchewan and now living in the Okanagan Valley in beautiful British Columbia, Marissa’s passions keep her busy and inspired.

Her experience encompasses working with athletes, teams, leagues, musicians, entertainers, their families and the venues, stadiums, fields and tracks they play on.  She brings decades of experience and a resume full of live sports action, competition, editorial story writing, lifestyle portraiture, live performance and back stage work.

In 2016, Marissa was the first and only woman chosen by her peers for one of 32 Paul Carson Broadcast and Media awards for her work in sports journalism.
